Diagnosing Genitourinary Cancer

The exact tests and procedures for a diagnosis will depend on symptoms and the type of cancer suspected. Initially the doctor will begin with a physical exam and review current symptoms and medical history. Imaging and tests are used to determine the size and exact location of the cancer, including:
