VALHALLA, N.Y. (January 30, 2025) – The Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth) is pleased to announce the appointment of Leo Bodden, MBA, CHCIO, CDH-E, CCIE as its new Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer (CIO).
In his role as CIO, Bodden will drive the integration and standardization of all technologies, including the digital transformation of the organization. His primary goals include enhancing patient experience, streamlining operations, and ensuring cybersecurity, privacy, and governance. Additionally, Bodden will foster a data-driven culture by leveraging data and analytics. He will implement artificial intelligence (AI) technology solutions to complement bedside care and improve population health outcomes through technology.

Bodden brings with him a wealth of experience from over 25 years at NewYork-Presbyterian, where he provided visionary leadership to hundreds of cross-disciplinary team members. His ability in developing strategic initiatives translated into solutions that prioritize patient care. At NewYork-Presbyterian, he led a digital transformation through projects such as Imaging as a Service (IaaS), a consultative, data-driven program that increased the use of high-end imaging services while improving patient access and experience. Bodden also has extensive experience aligning departments across disciplines, including HR, Finance, IT, clinical, and operations, during large-scale medical practice acquisitions.
A resident of Chappaqua, New York, Bodden earned his Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Rutgers University and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He also earned his Master of Business Administration from Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business, where he graduated as valedictorian. Bodden is also a faculty member and advisor for the College of Health Information Management Executives (CHIME).
