Dr. Amin is double-specialty trained in cornea and refractive surgery, as well as glaucoma. She completed her glaucoma training at The Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and a cornea fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Her residency in ophthalmology was at the University of Rochester. Dr. Amin has a long history of mentoring residents in the clinic setting and operating room. She has been on the teaching staff at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai and St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan. She has received many honors and awards and has published book chapters and journal articles.
Dr. Amin joins Advanced Eye Specialty Services after leaving a large private practice in upstate New York, where she performed more than 400 cataract surgeries each year, as well as corneal transplants, glaucoma laser procedures and surgery.
