VALHALLA, N.Y. (May 29, 2024) - Ming Tsai, MD, has joined Westchester Medical Center as the new Associate Director of the Department of Obstetrics/Gynecology.
Dr. Tsai brings with him to Westchester Medical Center a wealth of experience and expertise in women’s health with special clinical interests in menstrual disorders, endometrial pathology, uterine fibroids, menopause, and minimally invasive surgery. He also brings years of experience in leadership and management at large academic medical centers with emphasis on excellence in clinical operations, quality and safety.
Dr. Tsai received his medical education from the University of Sao Paulo, School of Medicine, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and completed his residency at St. Vincent Hospital & Medical Center of New York. Prior to his arrival at Westchester Medical Center, Dr. Tsai was Chief of Service of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at New York University Langone Hospital – Brooklyn and served in a similar role at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue.
Dr. Tsai's commitment to excellence in patient care and medical education has been recognized with many awards and accolades. He is a distinguished member of several professional societies, including the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), the American College of Obstetrician and Gynecologist (ACOG), the Martin L. Stone OB GYN Society, New York Medical College, the New York Obstetrical Society, and the Brooklyn Gynecological Society.
Additionally, his contributions to medical education have been recognized with the CREOG National Faculty Award, the APGO/Ethicon surgical educational scholar and leader award, the APGO Excellence in Teaching Award. Dr. Tsai was elected by New York University Grossman School of Medicine graduating classes students to receive the The Leonard J. Tow Humanism in Medicine Faculty Award and the Distinguished Teacher in the Clinical Sciences Award.
