MARGARETVILLE, N.Y. (August 14, 2023) –– Mountainside Residential Care Center, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), recently received a five-star, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) nursing home rating for excellence in specialized care.

A five-star rating is the highest rating a facility can receive from CMS. The overall star rating for nursing homes comes from a combination of health inspections, staffing and quality of resident care measures. CMS calculates a star rating for each of these three categories, along with an overall facility rating, with a five-star rating indicating a facility’s exemplary care and physical environment.

Mountainside Residential Care Center was also rated by CMS with five-stars in 2022, and is regularly rated among the best nursing homes in the country by CMS.

“Our consistent top rating is a testament to our staff’s hard work to deliver exceptional patient care and satisfaction,” said Josh Ratner, Chief Executive Officer of Health Alliance of the Hudson Valley and Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of WMCHealth. “Thank you to the residents of Delaware County and the surrounding regions who have entrusted us with their loved ones' care, and to our incredible staff who have ensured we provide the best possible patient experience.”
