Québec Capitales Fight Breast Cancer With Pink in the Park Day
This past summer, the Rockland Boulders hosted the Québec Capitales to show their support for the fight against breast cancer.
The two teams squared off on “Pink in the Park” Day, to raise funds for the Center for Breast Health at Good Samaritan Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth).
The special night kicked off with a pregame concert, and the first 2,000 fans received a replica pink Boulders jersey. Each player’s jersey was auctioned off during and after the game to help support the Center for Breast Health. The first 200 girls ages 12 and under who arrived dressed as princesses received a special pink tiara, and the Boulders donated $1 to the Center for every fan wearing pink to the game. A very special meet-and-greet featured Anna and Elsa from Frozen and Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
