New Technology Leads to Faster, More Precise Cancer Care
Cancer patients at Suffern-based Good Samaritan Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), are now being treated with a revolutionary new therapy system.
The TrueBeam Linear Accelerator system is a new and innovative technology that enables cancer treatment through image-guided radiotherapy for cancers such as breast, prostate, head and neck, gastrointestinal, brain, lung and GYN. As a result of this new treatment, patients gain greater comfort through shorter and more precise treatments. Shawn Zimberg, MD, Medical Director; John Rescigno, MD, Associate Medical Director; and Raman Kaul, MD, are now treating patients using the new system.
