Medical Village, Healthy Neighborhood Projects Advance
Staff and elected officials cut the ribbon for three new facilities of the Healthier Community Medical Village project at Bon Secours Community Hospital, in Port Jervis.

Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), and the Bon Secours Charity Health System recently announced the completion of three critical projects.
The work is part of the Investing in a Healthier Community Medical Village project at Bon Secours Community Hospital, a member of WMCHealth, in Port Jervis.
The hospital’s planned Emergency Department expansion is now completed. The project includes the creation of 14 patient bays, four of which are dedicated to treating behavioral health issues. The redesigned bays feature new beds and advanced diagnostic and monitoring equipment. Construction was also finalized on the 10,000-square-foot Surgical Weight Loss Institute, which includes eight spacious, private rooms designed for added accessibility and comfort. A new, 2,800-square-foot facility includes an enlarged core lab, blood-draw room, blood bank and other enhancements.
Meanwhile, in Kingston, the Healthy Neighborhood Initiative, a $134.9 million project continues. It features the conversion of the entire HealthAlliance Hospital: Broadway Campus into an innovative health, wellness and human services hub. The initiative also includes the renovation and expansion of HealthAlliance Hospital: Mary’s Avenue Campus into a 21st-century single-campus model for first-class healthcare delivery. Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2022 on both campuses.
