Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital Lobby Rededicated

Friends and family of the late Stephen A. Galef gathered in the main lobby of Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, a Member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network, to rededicate the newly-renovated lobby that bears his name.

Galef was instrumental in the initiative to build the Children’s Hospital. His family and friends continue to honor his memory by helping fulfill his vision: providing the highest level of care to the region’s most critically ill and injured children. Galef’s wife, State Assemblywoman Sandy Galef, his children and grandchildren joined WMCHealth President and CEO Michael D. Israel (above, left) and Michael Gewitz, MD, William Russell McCurdy Physician-in-Chief (above, right), in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
