Go the Distance Walk and Family Fun Day Supports Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital

On September 16, thousands of supporters made strides for Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), at its 14th Annual Go the Distance Walk and Family Fun Day.

The largest annual fundraiser for the Hudson Valley region’s advanced-care pediatric hospital included a casual one-mile walk and a host of family activities, including live entertainment, games and activities for all ages.

The walk was led by three former pediatric patients who served as the 2018 Go the Distance ambassadors: Joy, 6, a graduate of the Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; Adriana, 8, who was born with a congenital heart defect; and Armani, 12, who was diagnosed in 2016 with a brain arteriovenous malformation.
