WMCHealth Receives Healthcare Leaders of New York’s Diversity Leader Award

WMCHealth is the proud recipient of the 2020 Healthcare Leaders of New York’s (HLNY) Diversity Leader Award. WMCHealth has implemented a number of strategies and initiatives that have advanced diversity, inclusion and community engagement. Some programs include STEM scholarships, mentoring programs, faith-based partnerships, LGBTQ partnerships, supplier diversity, diversity councils and a diversity board committee.

These initiatives help to ensure health equity and reduce health disparities, increase access to high-quality, patient-centered care, support a diverse workforce and create inclusive environments for everyone.

Now in its fifth year, HLNY’s Diversity Leader Award is given to healthcare facilities and systems that are leaders in diversity, equity and inclusion space.
