Construction Update: HealthAlliance Hospital
The transformation of HealthAlliance Hospital from two hospitals in Kingston into one on Mary’s Avenue Campus is the first component of a major, two-phase healthcare advancement project in Ulster County.
The redevelopment of the hospital includes, but is not limited to:
- A refresh of the existing hospital and a new, two-story building adjoining the current facility.
- Expanded capacity for a full range of emergency visits in a new Emergency Care Center.
- All private medical/surgical patient rooms.
- Efficient, coordinated care of the hospital’s sickest patients in a new Critical Care Unit.
- Cardiovascular lab capable of interventional procedures.
- Ultramodern labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum rooms at a newly constructed Family Maternity Center.
- Modernized pharmacy and laboratory designed to maximize safety and efficiency.
- Central registration and admitting, financial counseling, family support services, a gift shop and comfortable waiting areas in a new, welcoming hospital lobby.
- Advanced technologies, through our landmark agreement with Philips, in a new imaging department, as well as planned upgrades to the new Emergency Department, Critical Care units and Family Birth Center.
In the second phase of the transformation, the HealthAlliance: Broadway Campus will be converted into a single, walkable health village that offers preventive and primary healthcare services, as well as healthy-lifestyle counseling in one convenient location.
